Overview The Professional Practice Nurse Care Manager Lead manages new employee orientation and ongoing professional education to achieve leading practices and sustained outcomes across the Care Management Department. This individual is an EMR Superuser who arranges and oversees EMR optimizations to support staff efficiency, optimize professional practices, increase engagement with clinical teams, and optimize technology processes. Ensures all staff are employing care coordination best practices in their role to achieve organizational goals for patient satisfaction, clinical improvements, operational efficiencies, and financial growth. The Professional Practice Nurse Care Manager Lead is expert at the roles of Clinical Review Case Manager and Care Coordination Nurse Case Manager and provides support to larger team in addressing and resolving role specific concerns. This role improves efficiency and reduces health care costs as evidenced by decreased lengths of stay, decreased re-admissions, decreased denials, and increased patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Schedules and track new employee orientation to ensure new staff successfully demonstrate competencies to support the organization in optimizing clinical outcomes and financial margins.
Schedules and tracks ongoing employee education to ensure all staff are current on mandatory annual educational requirements, competent on department annual educational requirements, current on care coordination best practices, and engaged in ongoing case
Functions as the department?s Electronic Record Superuser and represents the department in Electronic Record optimizations and implementations to improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden, optimize care coordination best practices, and improve comm
Ensures all staff are employing care coordination best practices in their role to achieve organizational goals for patient satisfaction, clinical improvements, operational efficiencies, and financial growth. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree BSN and
3-5 years experience
Experience as a care manager or demonstrated leadership skills in a previous role
One of the following: Licensed RN – MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
One of the following: Licensed RN – Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
One of the following: American Case Management, Certified Case Manager required upon hire
RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
Must Obtain KS or MO compact within 60 days of hire
One of the following: American Case Management Certification or Certified Case Manager
Employees must obtain American Case Management or equivalent within 365 days
Employees must obtain Certified Case Manager or equivalent within 365 days

The pay range for this job begins at $36.75/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Remote Work/Work from Home This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
