The Scrub Tech, OR, Team Lead shall be responsible to facilitate, coordinate, and evaluate unit activities for the provision of quality patient care. The Team Lead is responsible to Nursing Leadership and will serve as a role model by providing direction in the application of patient care processes, quality improvement standards, organizational and departmental goals, and objectives in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. The primary role of the Team Lead is to perform as a clinical leader and facilitator for their service line area. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Qualifications
Education /
Experience:
Completion of a Scrub Tech or Scrub Tech First Assist perioperative training program or accredited Surgical Technology Program/School required.
Minimum 3 years progressive surgery experience preferred.
Evidence of commitment to continuing education.
Current role as a Scrub Tech or Scrub Tech First Assistant required.
License /
Certification:
BLS required, CST required within 12 months of hire to role
Ability to use computer proficiently. Knowledge of regulatory agencies to ensure compliance. Knowledge in the proper usage of grammar, spelling, punctuation and document composition. Ability to Scrub. Communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing. Cope with stressful situations and change. Prioritize work tasks. Utilize good guest relations. Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and customer relation skills.
