The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for helping people, and strong knowledge of optical products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career in the optical industry. The successful candidate MUST hold a valid Florida Optician License. This position will mainly reside in Fleming Island but will float to four other offices in the practice.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that meet their needs Taking seg height and PD measurements Possesses the ability to multi-task, prioritize & manage time efficiently Educate customers on the care and maintenance of eyeglasses Dispensing, adjusting, and minor repairs on eyewear Maintain inventory of frames and other optical supplies. Inspecting eyewear to ensure they meet FL standards Interpreting and explaining patients’ vision insurance benefits Work with team members in a collaborative and supportive way Always represents themselves to the highest level of professionalism in both speech and presentation Making sure that orders for glasses have been processed accurately and are being delivered in a timely manner
Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent Previous experience required FL State License Strong customer service skills Excellent problem-solving skills
