Job Description
Lab Technician•Nutraceuticals / Pharmaceuticals Nutraceuticals Miami, FL Responsible for the micro and macro biology laboratory. Work with raw material vendors, including vendor qualifications as necessary. Responsible for developing and administering the company quality program for the laboratory in accordance with customer and company requirements. Assure all components and raw materials meet specifications for use in processing of intermediate and final product by documented methods of sampling, testing, formulation, labeling, storage, distribution, and approvals. Issue Certificate of Analysis. Management of quality documentation system and all related documentation, consistent with FDA compliance. Set up and manage both internal and external (local, state, federal regulators, and customers) auditing programs Work with Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure that all suppliers and raw materials meet stringent quality metrics. Analyze failure data and work with teams to seek improvements. Qualifications•Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field. Minimum of five years prior laboratory and quality control experience Analytical skills pertaining to nutraceuticals manufacturing and laboratory activities Good verbal and written communication skills. Expertise in six sigma, GMP compliance, FDA regulations, statistics and manufacturing experience are required. Experience both developing and implementing quality programs. Experience with validations and audits is highly preferred.
