A well-established mail order pharmacy in Raleigh is looking to bring on a Pharmacy Technician with strong inventory and ordering experience for an 8-week contract that could transition to a full-time role. This is a perfect fit for a tech who enjoys structured tasks, keeping operations organized, and ensuring medication supply is uninterrupted.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Monitoring and ordering all out-of-stock medications Communicating with pharmacy staff to anticipate and manage low inventory levels Accepting and shelving deliveries using ABC ordering system Performing regular inventory checks and managing medications near expiration Executing recall processing and returning affected items to the supplier
Preferred Qualifications:
Retail pharmacy background (CVS, Walgreens, or similar experience strongly preferred) Previous experience handling pharmacy inventory and purchasing (meds and supplies) Familiarity with receiving, organizing, and restocking pharmaceutical products North Carolina pharmacy technician license required PTCB certification is helpful but not mandatory This role is ideal for a pharmacy technician who takes initiative, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and has a keen eye for detail in inventory processes.
