In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws and specimen collection in various locations, ensuring patient comfort and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory practices and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Perform blood sampling and venipuncture in accordance with established protocols. Collect and process specimens while adhering to aseptic techniques. Ensure accurate labeling and documentation of specimens for laboratory analysis. Monitor and record vital signs as needed during the collection process. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following safety guidelines. Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate concerns and provide instructions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. Stay updated on best practices in phlebotomy and laboratory procedures. Experience Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or hospital setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, aseptic technique, and specimen collection processing. Proficiency in blood sampling techniques, including venipuncture. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures related to specimen handling. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact compassionately with patients of all ages. Ability to work independently while managing time effectively in various locations.
