Job Description
Category Schools – PT Job Type Contract A contracted position is available for a Physical Therapist to support an elementary school during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This role is based in Sicklerville, NJ, and focuses on delivering therapeutic services that enhance students’ physical functioning and participation in academic and social activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services tailored to elementary-aged students with diverse physical needs. Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to support mobility, strength, balance, and coordination. Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to integrate therapy goals with educational objectives. Monitor student progress and document outcomes in compliance with program requirements. Ensure adherence to professional standards and safety protocols in the school environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapy license appropriate for the state. Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school-based settings. Demonstrated ability to design and implement effective therapy interventions for children. Strong communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families. Commitment to supporting students’ growth and independence during the ESY period.
