Responsibilities Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions, ensuring proper techniques and safety protocols are followed. Prepare treatment areas by cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, providing encouragement and support throughout their rehabilitation process. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients on home exercise programs and provide instructions for continued care outside of therapy sessions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance patient service and outcomes. Maintain a smooth flow of patients through the clinic and gym. Assist with clerical and administrative tasks as needed. Perform some laundry duties. Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly in orthopedics and geriatrics. Familiarity with outpatient therapy practices. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Basic understanding of physiology and anatomy to assist in treatment planning. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions.
