Position Details:
A well-established surgical team is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Urology, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery division. This role involves first-assisting in surgery, perioperative care, admission and discharges, fracture care, and wound care. The team has a strong history of excellence, including a Physician Assistant training program that has been active for over 25 years.
Role:
Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse PractitionerLocation:
New Britain, CTSetting:
Inpatient, subspecialty surgery
Schedule:
Full-time, rotating 27/13-hour shifts, allowing for significant work-life balanceCall schedule: No additional call
Support & Development:
Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced PracticeAccess to cutting-edge clinical technology like EPIC for streamlined careEstablished mentorship and orientation programs for new providersLeadership and professional development opportunities through specialized learning platforms and training programs
Scope of Practice:
Perform routine physical exams and develop treatment plansCollaborate with physicians and specialists for further evaluationsProvide appropriate treatments within the scope of practice and refer as needed
Qualifications:
Required:
Unrestricted Connecticut Medical License (or eligibility)Physician Assistant certification or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) certificationRNFA certification (for Nurse Practitioners)
Preferred:
