Description:

The Section of Nephrology & Hypertension at Tulane UniversitySchool of Medicine is recruiting for a Clinician-Educator facultyposition. The Section of Nephrology oversees inpatient servicesthat includes care of acute and chronic kidney disease, provisionof dialysis services, fluid and electrolyte problems, andglomerulonephritis and kidney transplant. The outpatient servicesinclude care of chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis,transplant and hypertension.

• University Medical Center and theSoutheast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System.
• The physician willparticipate in the teaching and clinical programs of the Residents,Fellows, and medical students.
• The candidate will have on-callcoverage on a rotating basis. The physician will attend on theinpatient services along with the Fellows. The Physician will haveoutpatient duties on a continuing basis.
• Assistant Professors,Associate Professors and candidates that are presently finishingfellowship are all encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

1. Medicaldegree required. 2. Board certification or eligibility in

• generalNephrology is required.

3. Eligible for medical license in thestate of Louisiana as well as CDS and DEA required. 4. Priorexperience in teaching residents/fellows/students.
