NICU Level III Responsibilities:
Providing coverage for a 16-bed NICU unit Attending C-sections and covering the Level I (Well-Baby) Nursery Supervising RNs in the NICU and other ancillary staff Managing 8-9 patients per day Handling neonatal procedures, including ventilation management, central/arterial line insertions, and diagnostic taps
Required Procedures:
Nursery Level
III/NICU
Ventilation Management (ETT, BiPAP/CPAP)
Chest Tube Insertion Exchange Transfusions UAC/UVC Placement Lumbar Punctures Insertion of Central and Arterial Lines Evaluation & Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues EMR System:
EPIC Support Staff:
Neonatologist present during the day, on-call at night
Days Per Month:
TBD On-Call/Weekends:
Required Requirements:
Board Certified
- Neonatology/Experienced NICU PA
- Required Active NY License
- Required Must have experience managing patients independently
