Job Description Description The division of pulmonary andcritical care is looking for acute care nurse practitioners andPA’s who have a desire to work in three exciting areas. There willbe one APP deployed in each area daily. The first is the MICU whereyou will provide critical care to acutely ill medicine patientsrounding with an attending and a resident team. The second locationis a six bed medical stepdown run with an attending and an APP. Thethird area is the code white/sepsis team where you will respond toalerts throughout the hospital as a provider with a nursing teamworking with you.

code white, codesepsis, code blue, code stroke. /n A Brief Overview /n The AdvancedPractice Provider is responsible for providing quality care forpatients and increasing patient access and satisfaction. Standardtasks to be performed by an Advanced Practice Provider as specifiedby the Ohio State Board of Medicine or Nursing and UH entityspecific Medical Bylaws. /n /n What You Will Do /n /n

  • Initiatesand maintains positive relationships w/pts/customers (10%) /n

  • Provides educationthrough role modeling and in-services to meet identified learningneeds and to promote professionalism (5%) /n

  • Master’sDegree from an accredited PA educational program (Required) /n
  • (MSN) Master’s Degree in Nursing (Required) /n /n Work Experience/n /n
  • 1 years as an Advanced Practice Provider (Preferred) /n /nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities /n /n
  • Demonstrated leadershipskills. (Required proficiency) /n
  • Demonstrated skills ininterpersonal relationships. (Required proficiency) /n
  • Computerskills to access patient medical data from UHHS mainframe.(Required proficiency) /n
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Officeand Outlook.

  • Practice with a supervising physician (Required Upon Hire) and/n
  • Maintain national PA Certification (Required) /n /n
