They boast a team of more than 100 providers and more than 30 offices, with services that include, but are not limited to, gastroenterology, primary care, cardiology, neurology, hematology/oncology, and laboratory services.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The new physician will join an established team, providing gastroenterology services for a panel of adult patients.
The office has a staff of 4 gastroenterologists, 2 nurse practitioners, and 1 physician assistant.
The position is 100% outpatient, with both general and procedural days scheduled.
Overall duties include, but are not limited to:perform colonoscopiesperform EGDsperform other gastroenterology proceduresconduct physical examinations to make diagnosesdiscuss patient medical histories and symptomsdevelop and communicate treatment plansmodify treatment plans based on patient progressorder bloodwork, imaging, and other testsprescribe medications, treatments, and lifestyle changescommunicate with patients about their health concernsA variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon provider preference and types of appointments scheduled.
All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.
The practice utilizes an EHR.On-call is minimal with little activity.
The current shared rotation is 1:6.
