Responsibilities Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN isconducting a search for a full-time breast surgical oncologist tojoin our thriving surgical practice. Board-certified/board-eligiblesurgeons at all levels of experience are encouraged to apply. Ourbusy and growing breast surgery practice is supported by amultidisciplinary team that encompasses all aspects of treatmentfor benign and malignant breast disease as well as management ofhigh-risk patients. Mayo Clinic Rochester sees over 1,200 newbreast patients per year and performs a similar number of breastoperations annually. Patients are initially evaluated by internistsspecializing in breast disease in a dedicated breast clinic. Thiscollaboration allows the breast surgeons to be highly efficientwith greater than 80% of surgical consultations resulting inoperative management. We have a strong multidisciplinary breastteam with dedicated breast reconstructive surgeons, breast medicaloncologists and breast radiation oncologists. All complex patientsand candidates for neoadjuvant therapy are seen in themultidisciplinary clinic. We have a robust collaborative integratedclinical and research practice with a large portfolio of clinicaltrials. Research opportunities abound related to malignant andbenign breast disease, and span the range of clinical,translational, and basic sciences. License or Certification:
