Job Description
A large medical center near Atlanta is recruiting a neurosurgeon to join their growing program.
Join a well-regarded group of neurosurgeons ready to help you build a fabulous program with the support of an established hospital and existing volume on day one.
Immediate volume is available, with current neurosurgeons seeing over 400 cases annually, approximately 80% of which are spine cases.
The hospital is committed to expanding its oncology program, offering the potential to develop a higher cranial volume practice.
The medical center has assembled an outstanding team of sub-specialists prepared to support your practice and generate referrals.
Currently, about 20% of cases are migrated out, and a new neurosurgeon would help increase availability and referrals from internal clinic providers and primary care physicians. The medical center is a Level II Trauma Center with an exceptional trauma team available at all times.
Trauma call will be shared equally among team members, approximately 1:7, and is coordinated with experienced PAs.
Trauma cases are primarily admitted by hospital-based trauma surgeons, with neurosurgical consultations as needed.
Hospital Highlights:
Abundant technological resources in the OR, including 4 MR units (1.5 Tesla), 6 CT units, Stealth Image Guided Navigation Equipment, O-Arm, and multiple C-Arm units. A 350-bed healthcare system serving a 5-county area, with secondary service to 17 counties. No dedicated pediatric coverage, only stabilization and transfer services. Teaching hospital affiliated with a local medical college. A highly supportive team of physicians. Call split evenly among the team, with a 1:7 trauma schedule. Current neurosurgeons perform over 400 cases per year, with opportunities to capture outmigration. Block OR time available. This community offers the best of both worlds: a close-knit environment with a variety of activities.
Located near Atlanta, it provides access to cultural events, shopping, dining, and an international airport.
Geographically, it’s about a 4-hour drive to the coast and a 2-hour drive to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The climate is ideal for outdoor activities year-round.
The area’s public schools are ranked among the best in the state, and private schools are regionally recognized.#J-18808-Ljbffr
