Job Summary :

The school psychologist plays a vital role in supporting student success in the school setting. This position will conduct assessments, provide interventions and strategies to the team, and collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to create positive learning environments.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills with positive, clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work independently without constant direct supervision
  • Familiarity with IEPWriter system is a plus. If no experience with this system, must be willing to learn.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive effective working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Strong understanding and alignment with HMS mission and values
  • This position may allow for some hybrid work opportunities with onsite observations and meetings as well as some work from home opportunities with report writing
Education and Experience :
  • Master’s degree and Pennsylvania State School Psychologist Certification
  • Must maintain and provide proof of insurance and required clearances
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in special education field
  • Experience with the special education re-evaluation process and psychological evaluations
Physical Requirements :

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer. Must be able to lift, up to 15 pounds at times. Reports to :

Vice President of Education Job Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Work productively with students who have significant multiple disabilities and who use multimodal communication
  • Work with our multidisciplinary team in developing re-evaluation reports and providing psychological assessments
  • Provide consultation services and recommendations as requested by the IEP team for the IEP team including parents and local school district representatives
  • Must comply with current rules and regulations of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
