RESPONSIBLEFOR
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize theresonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field toimage anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assistphysicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists performdiagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with allprescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervisingRadiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all agegroups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
Adheres to all safety requirements for magnetic safety.
Demonstrates ability to perform advance MR imaging procedures andis competent/proficient with cross-sectional anatomy andphysiology. Provides more complex technical care necessary to meetidentified patient needs.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED
Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technologyprogram.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Two (2) years of experienceas a Radiology Technologist and 2-3 years experience as an MRITechnologist required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologyin Radiography (R) (MR). Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI(MR).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
BLS certified.
