Under the supervision of the Imaging Services AdministrativeManager, performs a wide variety of technical and professionalduties utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce quality MRIimages as requested for subsequent interpretation by theradiologist. All duties are performed according to departmental andorganizational policies and procedures. Performs a wide variety of technical andprofessional duties utilizing complex MRI scanner equipment. 1.1Follows routine protocols when imaging and refers to the doctor’sexam requisition to ensure the correct exam is performed. 2.Performs quality and compassionate patient care in order to ensurecooperation, safety, and satisfaction. 2.1 Thoroughly explains theprocedure to the patient to offer them the emotional support toendure and complete the exam. 3. Accurately documents all pertinentpatient information including contrast amounts administered,contrast waste, patient lab values and safety issues. 3.1Accurately completes/edits charges for exams. 4. Participates invarious teaching and learning opportunities in order to furtherhis/her personal knowledge and professional growth. 4.1 Keepscurrent with new imaging protocols and new advanced techniquesintroduced in the field of Magnetic Resonance Imaging. 5.Demonstrate accuracy for safely screening for patients and hospitalstaff. 5.1 Review and verify that the patient safety screenerinformation is accurate to ensure safety prior to the MRI Scan. 6.Plans and and/or implements care for assigned patients. 6.1Demonstrates knowledge of developmental stages from adolescence toold age and applies developmental theories/concepts when planningand implementing care for the adult pateint as observed by themanager and as indicated by the staff. 7. Demonstrate the ablity toeffectively communicate pertinent information. 7.1 Communicateseffectively with patients throughout the exam to ensure cooperationfor a quality exam as observed by manager. 8. Consults with theradiologist in charge for required exam prior to patient scanning.8.1 Consults with the radiologist prior to patient exam fornon-protocol exams as observed by the radiologist feedback. 9.

EDUCATION
Graduation from an A.M.A. approvedRadiologic Technology program.
EXPERIENCE
Demonstrated technicalskills to meet entry level standards of routine Magnetic ResonanceImaging.
LICENSURE RT
(R) required, (MR) perferred. CT State LicenseRequired.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Proficient in routine MRI imagingtechniques, knowledge of cross section anatomy, computerapplications, and good organizational and communication/customerservice skills.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Must be able to lift a minimum of40 pounds to assist with patient transfers.
Additional InformationHOURS:
Full time; Day/Evening with weekend and holiday rotation.
