Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and positions patients fordiagnostic imaging procedures
  • Explains procedures and process topatients
  • Moves imaging equipment into the specified position;determines exposure factors on the basis of height, weight, theportion of the body involved, and the degree of penetrationrequired; and adjusts
  • equipment controls to set exposure factorsand produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy
  • Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation topatients and staff
  • Performs specialized and routine diagnosticradiology procedures
  • Processes images and reviews them for properidentification and quality control
  • Prepares images for reading bythe radiologist or requesting physician
  • Performs routinemaintenance, diagnoses malfunctions, and makes minor repairs onradiologic equipment, arranging for repairs as needed You’ll berewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment thatwill challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes tosucceed in your role as well as provide development for other rolesyou may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:
  • High schooldiploma / GED
  • License or temporary permit to practice DiagnosticRadiology in the state of New York
  • American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or willing to obtainin 180 days
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 years of experienceworking as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Experience with Epic EMRsoftware
  • Orthopedic experience The hourly range for this role is$23.

70 to $46.35 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay isbased on several factors including but not limited to local labormarkets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
