POSITION SUMMARY

Radiology Partners is seeking a PRN X-Ray Technologist who will deliver quality patient care during x-ray procedures by exhibiting patience and a thorough knowledge of the examination.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicates and explains procedure with patient Prepare and position patient for diagnostic imaging procedure Position radiation protection devices such as lead shields Setting x-ray equipment at the correct angle and height over the appropriate area of the patient’s body
Setting controls on the x-ray machine to produce x-rays or radiographs of the appropriate density, detail, and contrast Capture image of each angle following physician’s orders precisely Evaluate image for quality Communicates with radiologists and personnel within other practices concerning patients Maintain patient records / documentation Ensures operation of equipment Performs required cleaning of room and equipment after each exam

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE AART

Licensure Current BLS Ability to use x-ray equipment independently Working knowledge of PACS system Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, health care professionals, and patients.
