Job Summary/Purpose:
Assists Radiological Technologist and department by performing a variety of clerical and patient care activities. Receives and transports patients, and answers questions regarding procedures. Preparation of imaging rooms, stocking of supplies, and assisting Radiological Technologist with procedures as needed.
Job Responsibility:
Demonstrate knowledge of clerical duties, policies, and assist in departmental needs.
Success Criteria:
a. Aides must have knowledge of EPIC and SECTRA (PACS).
Follow patient 2 identifier policy Use of professional manner when answering phone calls Assist with stocking of supplies
Job Responsibility:
Assist technologist with patient flow and radiation safety procedures.
Success Criteria:
Assist with preparation of patients for imaging studies. Obtain protocols from radiologist and present to supervising technologist. Assures patient clinical history is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner Escort patients back to waiting areas or patient rooms Assist with quality assurance on all equipment, including identification of defective equipment and appropriate reporting. Assist with answering departmental phones
Job Responsibility:

Minimum Training and Education:
Enrolled in an accredited college as a first-year Radiology student. BLS certification is required.

Radiology Student Aide/Assistant transition to Radiology Tech I
Upon completion of the ARRT radiology registry, a promotion will be awarded from a student tech position to a vacant radiology technologist position.
