The preferred candidate will have experience working with those suffering from cognitive deficit disorders such as dementia. This is a confidential opportunity at this time. The Therapeutic Recreation Director plans, controls and executes the provision of therapeutic recreational services to all residents in accordance with federal, state and local standards. Ensures the highest quality recreation program is provided. The preferred candidate will possess the following attributes: attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent leadership and supervisory skills, patience, tact, enthusiasm as well as a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks. Must be innovative and able to find creative ways to service the variety of resident needs and maintain the customer focus.

Requirements:

• Must meet requirements of Therapeutic Recreation Director as stated in the Public Health Code. • Must possess at least one year experience in rehabilitative or geriatric setting.
