Responsibilities:
Inthis role, you will play a key role in meeting Genesis businessobjectives by ensuring the appropriate reimbursement for patientcare services. You will participate in the Patient AssessmentProcess through completion of items on the MDS and the accompanyingCare Area Assessments (CAAs). Assist in the developmentindividualized patient care plans, identify patient needs andprojected outcomes as required by Federal and State regulations.
Contribute to the nursing center interdisciplinary ResidentAssessment Instrument (RAI) process while following RAI guidelinesfor completion, computer encoding and electronic transmission ofthe MDS. Identify changes in patient condition in conjunction withthe interdisciplinary team and coordinate scheduling and completionof indicated assessments. Assist with Activities of Daily Livingtraining for new hires and through ongoing continuing education toexisting staff. Attend educational programs to maintain knowledgewith current RAI/Prospective Payment System regulations.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed bythe state and in good standing.
- Previous experience in a hospital,long-term facility, or other healthcare related facility isrequired.
- Prior experience completing MDSs and Care Plans isrequired
- Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative andrestorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws,regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
