• NO NIGHTS, NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS, NO ON CALL

Overview:

Responsible for the delivery of post-surgical patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation Provides post anesthesia instructions, including wound care, what to expect after surgery, and when to call their surgeon regarding complications or problems. Assesses patient’s pain level, providing safe and adequate relief measures in accordance with the recommended physician’s orders. Directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes

Education:

Graduate of state board School of Nursing with current Alabama or multi-state licensure

Experience:

Experience preferred; new graduates accepted.

Additional Skill/Abilities:

BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. ACLS within 60 days of hire.
