Urgent Care for Children is seeking Family and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (PRN) to join our growing team and help deliver exceptional care to children from infancy through age 21. We’re especially seeking weekday coverage, with opportunities to pick up shifts across our Tuscaloosa location. Why Join Us? What You’ll Do:
Provide Pediatric Care:
Diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses and injuries in children, working within your scope under collaborative practice with a licensed physician.
Deliver Patient Education:
Help families understand diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up needs. Collaborate with
Team Members:
Work closely with medical assistants, x-ray techs, and other providers to ensure seamless, quality care.
Create Positive Experiences:
Maintain a compassionate, child-friendly approach in every patient interaction.
Support Weekday Demand:
Weekday PRN coverage is our top priority — your flexibility will help keep access to care strong in our communities.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Active RN and NP license in the state of Alabama. Board-certified in Pediatric Primary Care, Pediatric Acute Care, or Family Practice. Minimum of 2 years of NP experience in a pediatric setting preferred. Strong clinical skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, urgent care environment. Proficient with EMR systems and basic computer tools (e.g., Microsoft Office). Strong communicator with a team-first attitude and passion for pediatric healthcare.
Clinic Hours:
Monday-Friday:
12:00 PM – 8:00
PM Saturday-Sunday:
10:00 AM – 8:00 PM We have an immediate need for weekday availability. Flexibility and willingness to travel between nearby clinics is a plus!
