Our Trauma Surgical Unit is primarily home to ouracute care trauma and surgical patient population. Nurses in thisarea have a 1:6 ratio and specialize in an interdisciplinary teamapproach to each patient’s specific needs. This unit’s staff areexperts in trauma but also ortho and urology patients as this unitwill provide care to this population as well. This unit valuescollaboration with family practice physicians, hospitalists, aswell as a variety of surgical specialists while proudly providingindividualized attention to all patients who are hospitalized forillness, surgery, or testing and observation. Education

• Required1. Associated degree in nursing Certifications

AHABLS 2. OR RED CROSS

Licenses

• Required 1. Registered Nurse Stateof Alabama or Compact license (No Temp Licenses’ accepted) 2.NURSYS Experience

1. 2 years experience; however, willconsider 18 months of experience, working under the highest levelof professional license, and must have 1 year of experience in thefield of specialty.
