Job Overview :

Join our dynamic 42-bed Med/Surg Unit in Tuscaloosa, AL, specializing in the care of acute and chronic respiratory conditions. As a Med/Surg RN, you’ll choose your preferred unit: General Medical, Cardiac, Respiratory, Surgical, Trauma, or Pulmonary. Nurses maintain a 1:6 ratio in the main unit and a 1:4 ratio in the higher acuity units, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team during daily rounds to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Administer nursing care to ill, injured, or disabled patients Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans Monitor and report changes in patient symptoms or behavior Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding patient care Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities Maintain accurate patient medical records Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members

Requirements :

Active RN license (Alabama or compact state) Minimum 2 years of telemetry or med-surg experience BLS and ACLS certifications required Ability to work 3×12 or 4×12 shifts (days or nights available) Strong communication and teamwork skills Why ProLink?
