The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to women throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods. This role requires a strong background in nursing with experience in various medical settings, including ER, pediatrics, and internal medicine. The OB/GYN Nurse will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric and gynecological patients. Assist in prenatal assessments, monitoring fetal heart rates, and conducting routine examinations. Educate patients on pregnancy-related topics, including nutrition, exercise, and labor preparation. Administer medications and manage IV therapy as required. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans. Support patients during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and positive experience. Conduct postpartum assessments and provide education on recovery and newborn care. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions as necessary. Qualifications Current nursing license (RN) in the state of practice. Previous experience in OB/GYN nursing or related fields such as ER, pediatrics, or internal medicine is preferred. Familiarity with procedures such as tube feeding, gastric lavage, and medication administration is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively. Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
