Piedmont Athens Med Surg 2: Pulmonary Dept. Weekend Option Part time Day shift 7am-7pm Special WEO diff $$ New Specialty Med Surg differential $ The 12-bed Pulmonary Unit is located on the 6th floor of the newMain Tower. The clinical staff on Pulmonary work closely withhospitalists, pulmonologists and respiratory therapists to providetop-notch care for patients with acute and chronic respiratoryissues. In the state-of-the-art new Main Tower, the Pulmonary nurseprovides high-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizingnursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the careof patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policiesand procedures of the organization and demonstrates professionalgrowth and accountability. The Pulmonary nurse is responsible formaintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient careactivities of all assigned staff in the provision of qualitynursing care.

RESPONSIBLE FOR

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birththrough the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan,implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functionswithin the framework of the policies and procedures of theorganization and demonstrates professional growth andaccountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. •Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including volumeand acuity of patient needs. Extenuating circumstances maydetermine a need for lower or higher ratios•

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED

Graduate of a nursing program

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

New Graduates of a nursing program eligible

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW

Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse orNLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable.

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Nursing Experience in Hospital SettingPreferred.
