Introduction:

RISE Community Hospital is a small community hospital with a 3 bed Emergency Department and 10 bed inpatient unit. RCH is committed to providing safe and quality experience for emergency department patients and patients who are seeking sobriety through our RISE recovery program. Our facility will provide a means for patients to obtain medical clearance and stabilization to enter a drug and/or alcohol abuse rehabilitation program or recovery support communities.

Position Summary:

The ED Float Registered Nurse will primarily provide direct patient care for all patients who present to facility for emergency treatment and evaluation. This position will also require floating to the Substance Abuse RN role. The Substance Abuse Registered Nurse provides direct patient care primarily for individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction. They assist physicians in developing treatment plans, perform patient assessments, monitor a patient’s progress, and administer medications and pain management services.

Qualifications:

Education :

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Additional state requirements as applicable. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licenses/Certification :

Required:

RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS Preferred:

TNCC Experience :

Required:

2 years of emergency room experience in a hospital setting or equivalent experience.

Preferred:

Substance abuse/detox experience in a hospital/outpatient setting or equivalent experience.
