Communicable Disease and Tuberculosis Support Nurse 4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 944 Western Avenue, Nashville, NC 27856 JOB The primary purpose of this position is responsible for the prevention, surveillance, investigation, and treatment of communicable diseases, including Tuberculosis, within the community. It will serve as backup to the TB/CD Coordinator and be available to assist when caseloads are above average. This position is also responsible for working in the general clinic of the department. The working hours of this position are Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM. Some weekend or after hours work may be necessary based on the activities of the department, outbreak situation, and disaster responses. This position will also be required to work an on-call rotation schedule for after-hours communicable disease calls, outbreak situations, and disaster responses.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and two years of Public Health nursing experience; or a Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of professional nursing experience including two years of Public Health nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Must possess a valid North Carolina Driver License.
