Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join the fast-paced Emergency Department of a reputable hospital in Oneonta, NY . This is a night shift role ideal for critical thinkers who thrive in high-acuity settings and are passionate about delivering quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care in a busy emergency department setting Triage and stabilize patients presenting with diverse emergency conditions (stroke, MI, trauma, psychiatric, geriatric, pediatric, etc.) Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to medical emergencies Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses Adhere to facility policies, infection control protocols, and emergency procedures
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience in Emergency Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Active New York State RN license (unencumbered) Current
BLS , ACLS
, and NIHSS certifications Strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills Willingness to commit to night shifts and weekend rotations
