Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth patient experience from the moment they enter our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient information, verifying insurance details, and providing exceptional customer service. Strong organizational skills and familiarity with medical office management software are crucial for success in this position. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details. Perform insurance verification to ensure coverage for services rendered. Utilize electronic health record systems such as Eaglesoft and Meditech for data entry and management. Process medical collections and handle billing inquiries. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and transactions. Operate phone systems to manage incoming calls effectively. Assist with administrative tasks, including 10 key typing and general office duties. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Experience Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus. Proficiency in computerized systems and office software is required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with patients and staff. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
