Admissions Coordinator Position Available In Harrison, Mississippi

Memorial Driftwood Nursing Center Admissions Coordinator Preferably an LPN or RN Experience a plus Receive and review all referrals for possible admission to facility to ensure all required information is included and ensure care can be provided by the facility. Coordinate with Billing Coordinator/Administrative staff for verifying referral payment source. Contact and communicate with referral source for acceptance, denial, or need for any additional information. Coordinate with Interdisciplinary Team members new admissions and/or hospital returns Make personal contact with the referral and/or family member and/or responsible party and explain admission process. Complete admission once resident arrives to the facility Make marketing visits to any and all referral sources on a routine basis (i.e. case managers, social workers, marketing representatives). Be willing to work flexible hours to ensure the admission process is completed accurately and to attend marketing events. Initiate discharge planning and assist as needed. Manage Quality Indicator of Hospital Re-Admissions for regulatory compliance to include, monitoring facility HRA percentage, educating staff members on HRA, initiating tools in the facility to prevent unnecessary HRA s, and comprehension of federal guidelines for HRA s. Be an active team member of QAPI. Ensure understanding of and compliance with all policies, procedures, rules and regulations regarding resident rights to include assisting the residents in exercising their rights.
