Description:

Thisposition requires the therapist to work in a very criticalcare-focused and protocol-driven environment. The therapist willmanage a variety of patient types including those with COPD, CHF,Cystic Fibrosis, ARDS, trauma, pneumonia, lung cancer, stroke, ALS,Guillain-Barre Syndrome, COVID-19, and RSV. Experience withoscillators, advanced ventilators, and inhaled medicationadministration is beneficial. The therapist must be comfortableworking with adult patients throughout the duration of thecontract. Critical care experience should include ABG puncture,analysis, and non-invasive ventilation. Voluntary on-call shiftsmay be required 2 hours before or after the scheduled shift.

Weekend rotation is expected every other weekend. The chartingsystem used is Cerner. Support within the department includes alead, manager, assistant manager, educator, and medical director.

Professional scrub colors and patterns are allowed as long as theyremain appropriate.
