Responsibilities

• Deliver proficient, holistic care under thedirection of an ordering physician/clinician.
• Documentrespiratory interventions, outcomes, and plan-of-care revisions.
• Provide status reports and offer recommendations during patientcare rounds.
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with families,incorporating diverse needs and methods of coping into treatmentplans.
• Adhere to the American Association of Respiratory Care’sClinical Practices Guidelines and CHOP’s organizational policiesand procedures.
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees,shared governance initiatives, research activities, and thedevelopment of policies and procedures.
• Incorporate research andquality improvement findings into clinical practice.
• Identifylearning needs; propose and participate in educational activities;and apply new training, skills, and knowledge to daily work.

Education

• Required:

  High school diploma/GED

• Required:

  Technicaldiploma

• Respiratory Care

• Preferred:

  Associate degree-Respiratory Care Experience

• Required:

  At least one (1) year priorrespiratory care experience

• Required:

  Prior experience inpediatrics Licenses and Certifications
