Our Montessori school in Miami is dedicated to nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and love for learning in a peaceful, supportive, and inclusive environment. We value a holistic approach to education, blending academic excellence with social-emotional growth. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our multidisciplinary team and support the communication and language development of our students.

Position Summary:

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services for children ages 3-12 with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate is collaborative, flexible, and understands or is open to learning about the Montessori philosophy of education.

Please note:

This position will begin as a part-time role and transition to full-time beginning in August to align with the start of the new academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech and language screenings and comprehensive evaluations as needed. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs or IFSPs, if applicable). Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions aligned with students’ developmental needs. Collaborate with classroom guides (teachers), parents, and other specialists to support student growth. Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, and communications. Participate in student support meetings and contribute to the school’s inclusive practices. Provide training or guidance to staff and families on speech and language development. Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Current Florida state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred). Experience working with early childhood and/or elementary-aged children. Previous experience in school or educational settings preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

License/Certification:

Speech Language Pathology License (Required) Willingness to travel: 50% (Required)
