- We are currently offering a $7,500 sign on bonus for full timehires.
- Shift
- 9am-5:30pm This Sterile Processing Technician willbe responsible for:
- Following departmental policies/proceduresand transporting carts of instrumentation or medical materials toand from designated areas within the surgical suites or SPD.Restocking OR surgical core with surgical instrumentationsterilized in SPD following departmental policies/procedures andinstructions
- Receiving, sorting, cleaning and decontaminatingsoiled reusable instruments, equipment and materials followingmanufacturer’s instructions. Manually recording items/materialsreceived in department logs. Loading, operating, and emptyingcleaning and decontamination equipment such as automatic washers,endoscope reprocessors, cart washer and pasteurizers
- Inspecting,preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and other materials.
Assembling trays and packets of instruments, medical supplies forsurgical procedures according to standardized content lists andmanufacturers guidelines. Loading and operating sterilizers,programming settings and monitors temperature and other criticalreadings during run cycle
- Answering departmental telephones andforwarding calls as needed. Responding to requests for routinefactual information, referring more complex inquiries to chargeperson/supervisor
- Responding to customer requests and resolvingproblems as needed To qualify, you must have:
- Certification ofSterile/Central Processing
- A high school degree or GED equivalentis required
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience within SterileProcessing is strongly preferred
- A strong knowledge ofinstrumentation and power surgical instruments
- Strong customerservice and communication skills to develop working relationshipswith staff
- Strong problem solving skills
- The ability to workindependently and as a team player
