Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences is currently hiring for a Central Sterile Technician role for their client in Newark, NJ location .

  Roles and Responsibilities
• Operates and monitors steam Autoclaves ,sonic washers and other sterilizing equipment.

Keeps records of loadpleted ,items in load and maintenance procedures performed .
Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments ,equipment, assembles wraps and sterilizers cassettes ,trays and instruments . Follows proper standard precautions while in decontamination and sterilization areas.
Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and equipment .
Maintains necessary supply levels in sterile storage areas .
Verifies that equipment functions properly ,requisitions for equipment maintenance ,repair or replacement and removes defective equipment .
Assists with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures ,objectives and quality improvement , safety and environmental and infection control standards .
Examines equipment to detect leak, worn or loose parts or other indications of disrepair .
Maintain storage rooms , participates in quality assurance activities as assigned .
Required Qualification / Experience

• One year experience in healthcare, medical or dental setting or a closely related setting using sterile procedures.

New Jersey central service certification is required .
Knowledge of decontamination , sterilization , assembly packing and monitoring of instrumentation .

Pay Details:

$23.00 to $25.00 per hour
