Position Summary:

The Operating Room Surgical Technologists workunder the supervision of the Registered Nurse circulator tofacilitate safe and effective care. Functions in a professionalmanner on a wide variety of surgical procedures. Selects andprepares the appropriate supplies and equipment for the surgicalcases. Scrubs on surgical cases, operates surgical equipment,participates in surgery by organizing the instrumentation,participating in surgical counts, and performs related activitiesunder the direction of the Registered nurse circulator and surgeon.

Required:

Graduate ofan Accredited School of Surgical Technology

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

:

One year experience working as a certified surgical technologistpreferred.

PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology andSurgical Assisting (NBSTSA), BLS required Tenet complies withfederal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccinationof its workforce.
