Explaining the ultrasound procedure to patients,answering their questions, and providing support. Spreading theultrasound gel on the surface of patients’ bodies over the internalarea to be imaged. Programming and adjusting the scanner for thespecific procedure and ensuring the transducer captures images fromevery angle or section as needed. Deciding which still images, orsonograms, to capture and present to the Physician for diagnosticpurposes. Evaluating the images for quality and interpreting theimages to assist the Physicians in diagnosing and treatingdiseases. Presenting the images and your preliminary findings tothe Physicians. Maintaining patients’ records and medical notes onthe ultrasound procedure they have undergone. Maintaining theultrasound equipment and sterilizing the procedure rooms. AssistingRadiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures andultrasound-guided biopsies. SambaTraveler Job
