Responsibilities Performdiagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examinetissue and body structure, providing quality images forinterpretation. Set up and adjust all equipment and manuallymaneuvers transducers to perform exams. Implement safety standardsand perform appropriate quality control procedures. Perform routineand complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures.

Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology andequipment limitations. Ensure equipment is properly functioning.

Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriatepersonnel. Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate. Ensure promptsubmission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS(image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to includeprocedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage areaand any other areas in department. Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) ofhire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Associationor American Red Cross accepted. One or more of the followingrequired: Registered Radiologic Technologist specializing inVascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date. Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from theAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered orboard-eligible for one of following: Diagnostic Med. Sonography,Radiologic Technologist, Sonography, Radiologic Technologist,Vascular Sonography, Vascular Specialist, or Vascular Technologistobtained within 6 months of hire/ transfer. Registered SonographyTech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the CardiovascularCredentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date orjob transfer date. Registered Sonography Tech specializing inVascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry forDiagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire dateor job transfer date. Registered or board-eligible for one offollowing: Diagnostic Med. Sonography, Radiologic Technologist,Sonography, Radiologic Technologist, Vascular Sonography, VascularSpecialist, or Vascular Technologist obtained within 6 months ofhire/ transfer. Registered Medical Sonographer credentialed fromthe American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) ORRegistered Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonographycredentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists(ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:
