We are the first and only veterinary urgent care in Fort Smith. We provide both preventative and emergency/urgent care to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary medicine and a passion for animal care. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, providing preventative care, and ensuring the overall well-being of companion animals. The veterinarian will work closely with pet owners to educate them on proper care and treatment options. We do onsite radiology, bloodwork, oxygen therapy, soft tissue surgery, orthopedic surgeries if interested, and much more. I have an incredible team with many years of experience to assist you. Duties Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose health issues. Administer vaccinations and medications as required. Perform surgical procedures with precision and care. Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animal needs. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients. Provide guidance to pet owners on nutrition, behavior, and general care. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality care. Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and animal husbandry practices. Experience Candidates should have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Experience in the following areas is preferred. General pet care practices Veterinary critical care techniques Work Schedule 36 hour work week. I am very flexible with the schedule. My ideal schedule would be to work the following: Monday 9-9, Tuesday 9-9, Off on Wednesday and Thursday, Friday 9-9, Saturday 9-9. Then the following week you would only work on Wednesday and Thursday 9-9. This would average out to six 12-13 hour shifts per 2 weeks. This is only a suggestion. I am open to working around your schedule. You will also be working the shifts as the only veterinarian on the shift. If you are a new grad, I will be work with you for as long as you need in order to get your feet on the ground.
