As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will help enhance the overall experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care. Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently to process customer orders and manage transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Stay updated on coffee trends and menu offerings to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required. Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus. Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous. Strong basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure quality service. Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
