Bartender/Server Sixties Diner Norwood 1210 Boston Providence Highway, Norwood, MA 02062 Job Summary The Boston Tavern in Norwood, MA is currently looking for servers and bartenders. We are a very busy restaurant that pride’s itself in customer service. If you are an experienced bartender or server who loves serving the public then we want you to come work with us . for immediate consideration. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils. Take orders from customers accurately using POS systems. Handle cash transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling practices. Engage with patrons to provide exceptional service, including answering questions about drink selections and menu items. Monitor guest consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service. Assist with catering events as needed, providing beverage service in various settings. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain compliance with health standards. Qualifications Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and drink measurements. Familiarity with POS systems for order processing. Knowledge of brewing techniques is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
