Cafeteria Aide (Part Time) Qualifications/Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience working in a school-setting experience preferred Ability to relate well to students General professionalism Confidentiality Ability to lift 20-25 pounds PA State Police Criminal Record Check PA Child Abuse History Clearance (ChildLine) FBI Fingerprint Check This position will assist in maintaining an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria and and in other designated locations by helping and supervising students at mealtime in accordance with school policy and procedures. Tasks Supervise students in the cafeteria during meals Ensure that all students adhere to proper rules of conduct as determined by the administration Maintain system for orderly disposal of food waste Circulates among assigned tables during the mealtime so as to be available to children who need help or to resolve any minor problems that arise Ensures the cleanliness of tables and surrounding areas Report infractions of the rules to the classroom teacher Report all accidents to the nurse immediately and inform the classroom teacher as to what happened as soon as practical Maintains a positive demeanor at all times including, but not limited to, use of appropriate language. Maintains an appropriate record of punctuality and attendance. Assist the secretary and/or teacher with clerical tasks, as assigned Perform such other duties as may be assigned Follows all policies, rules and procedures established by the school
