Chef Koshari Shack 915 Middle River Drive, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304 Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in food service management and menu planning. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation. Develop and plan innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure adherence to food handling and safety standards. Manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed while minimizing waste. Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen environment. Assist in banquet preparation and execution, ensuring timely service for events. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by fostering teamwork and communication among staff. Skills Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and sanitation standards. Proficient in menu planning with an understanding of dietary restrictions. Experience in banquet preparation is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
