Eastern European cuisine knowledge preferred but not necessary. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in food preparation and safety. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards. Experience in meal preparation within a culinary or dietary department setting. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Proficient in knife skills and the use of various kitchen equipment. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff effectively. Creativity in menu planning and the ability to adapt recipes as necessary. A background as a dietary aide is a plus but not required.
