$500 – $650 per day

Schedule:

Meal drop-offs 1-2 times per week Occasional private dinners (1-2 times per month), scheduled in advance Flexibility required based on family needs and events

Job Summary:

A private family based in the West Village is seeking a talented and experienced Part-Time Chef to prepare weekly meals and support occasional in-home dinners when the family entertains (typically once or twice per month). The ideal candidate will prepare meals in their own kitchen and coordinate deliveries to the family’s home once or twice per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare and deliver nutritious, flavorful meals that align with the family’s dietary preferences and health goals Rotate dishes to introduce a variety of global flavors and ingredients, drawing inspiration from the family’s favorite restaurants, including: Szechuan Mountain House, Ugly Baby, Rowdy Rooster, Dhamaka, Golden Diner, Hometown BBQ, Miznon, KJUN, Cosme, Sushi Sho, Bolivian Llama Party, Superiority Burger, Don Angie, Eyval, Wildair, and Carnitas Ramirez. Source high-quality, seasonal, and organic ingredients, with a preference for Whole Foods and similar markets Maintain a clean and organized kitchen space, including regular pantry and refrigerator inventory management Coordinate meal drop-offs in a timely and consistent manner Occasionally support informal entertaining, such as small dinners with other families Collaborate with the live-in nanny on children’s meal schedules and preferences Provide hands-on cooking and plating support for in-home dinners when required

Requirements:

Professional culinary training and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar private chef or catering role A deep appreciation for diverse cuisines and the ability to recreate bold, globally inspired meals Strong organizational and time-management skills Discreet, dependable, and professional demeanor Comfortable working independently and collaboratively Local to NYC and able to manage meal delivery logistics Valid US Work Authorization
