Job Overview Position Summary The Catering Staff member is an essential part of our event execution team, responsible for delivering exceptional front-line service that reflects the elegance and precision of our brand. This role focuses on hands-on service delivery, working collaboratively with the catering team to ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality. As a key member of the service team, this individual contributes to flawless event execution by following established protocols, maintaining high service standards, and supporting the seamless flow of events. From setup through breakdown, the Catering Staff member ensures that service runs smoothly and client expectations are exceeded through attentive, professional service. Ideal candidates possess strong hospitality instincts, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for guest service. The ideal candidate should be able to bartend and serve, bringing both beverage preparation expertise and professional table service skills to enhance the overall guest experience. Above all, they are committed to excellence and teamwork, ensuring every event reflects the prestige and professionalism our clients expect. Flexibility is essential, as this role requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays. Essential Duties & Responsibilities .Follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure event details are executed to specification. Participate in pre-event briefings to understand event timeline, floor plan, client expectations, and service standards.
Execute setup, service, and breakdown duties.
Execute serving or bartending duties based on scheduled shift assignments
Support event flow by adapting to real-time adjustments and timing changes.
Strictly follow safety protocols outlined in the safety plan and report potential hazards to supervisors.
Maintain compliance with health codes, proper food handling techniques, and safety protocols.
Uphold sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health regulations at all times. Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation, reporting issues promptly to supervisors. Set a professional example by arriving punctually, maintaining professional appearance, and actively engaging in service throughout the shift. Support team members and contribute to collaborative problem-solving when challenges arise. Foster a positive, service-oriented atmosphere and contribute to team camaraderie. Serve as a service ambassador, ensuring every guest feels welcomed, attended to, and valued. Anticipate guest needs and execute flawless service with attention to detail. Handle guest interactions with professionalism and genuine hospitality. Address minor guest concerns appropriately and escalate significant issues to supervisors. Maintain the sophisticated service standards our clients and guests expect. Contribute to a culture of excellence by maintaining high personal service standards. Stay receptive to feedback and seek learning opportunities for professional growth. Adapt to evolving service procedures and guest expectations. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of experience in upscale catering, banquet, or hospitality service. Background in both Serving and Bartending, as shifts are interchangeable.
Knowledge of fine dining service standards, including plated, buffet, and cocktail reception formats. Experience working with Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and following detailed service specifications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with guests and team members. Professional presence and demeanor; able to serve executive-level clients and high-profile guests. Ability to multitask, follow directions, and adapt quickly in dynamic event environments. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule. Basic knowledge of wine and beverage service. Detail-oriented with commitment to delivering polished, high-level guest experiences. Team-oriented mindset with willingness to support colleagues and follow leadership direction.
